Strickland gets 5th and 17th at SWRRC weekend at Texas World Speedway
The SWRRC Championship was run on Saturday November 5th at the Texas World Speedway track in College Station, Texas. Strickland had already clinched the SRF 2016 SowDiv Championship title so was running his SRF3 in order to go for the title in that class. After qualifying 5th Strickland started out well but went off in turn 8 which put him back to 15th. Strickland was able to recover and gain back his 5th place before the end of the race. Strickland ended up 5th in points for the SowDiv Championship in the SRF3 class. On the Sunday race which was the first race for the 2017 season Strickland started 6th but an incident in turn 3 on the first lap put him back to 32nd place. Strickland again fought his way back and received 17th place at the end of the race. The following video is of the Sunday race.
